This watch is absolutely perfect to help your kid tell time. Everything about it is fantastic except for the super cheap glass on the face. Within a week it looks like somebody took sandpaper to it. It scratches so terribly easily that it looks awful now and unless there is a significant amount of light being shined directly onto the face you can’t read the numbers. Really disappointed because this watch face is fantastic. It’s not kid friendly for daily use for the 6-year-old boy. Just too easy to scratch. I’m tempted to spend the money to see if I can get better glass put in.

Liking the features of the dial, but spooked by some of the reviews, we also purchased the inexpensive Two Year Insurance that Amazon offers. Alas, the first watch did not work. However, it was replaced immediately and the replacement works perfectly. As a companion gift, we also purchased a workbook: “Telling Time Activity Workbook: Over 300 Practice Exercises for Kindergarten, 1st Grade and 2nd Grade”. The two are GREAT together and our favorite neighbor became an expert in no time. He wears his watch proudly to Kindergarten every day!

I love the large face and the information it displays for kids learning to tell time but unless you live in the desert… Not suitable for kids, they don’t understand they need to keep it absolutely dry. Manufacturer needs to fix this.

My daughter loves this watch, but after only 2 month of use, when I went to reset my daughter’s watch for daylight savings time the dial turned the clock hand half way around then it stopped moving and the dial fell off. My daughter was meticulous about always taking the watch off to sleep, shower, wash hands, use the restroom, etc… this was not a normal wear and tear break after only 2 months. I’m reluctantly buying another because she really prefers this watch to any others, fingers crossed it was a dud and the next one lasts longer, I will NOT buy a third if this next one breaks.

We got three of these at the same time for our kiddos. We LOVED them. Learning to tell time was a breeze! But after less than a year of daily use for my three kiddos, 9, 6 and 5, one silicone band snapped after about 5 months, and on another the face somehow got dropped and tipped to the side. The third is still perfect, but it was our youngest’s so it obviously wasn’t worn as frequently. I wish OwlConic would sell just the bands for replacement. They had the right idea, just needs to be more durable.
