We used the game in a classroom setting. We bought extra clocks and this was very fun for them. The kids were 3rd-4th grade.

  2. CMU

That is a great teaching tool especially if the child does not like the subject of time in Math. It’s an easy way to get them learning without realizing it.

  3. Raul Zimmerman

It took half an hour and my 5 year old twins were already reading and writing the time. Great way of teaching. Thanks

  4. Rebecca

It’s less of a true game and more like learning tools with some activity ideas that come with them. Still that being said, I love the kit and it has been useful in teaching my littles how to tell time and in discussing fractions/percentages/counting by fives and such.

  5. YMHE

Good quality, works well and gets the job done. Easier for younger kids to understand new concepts if they think they are playing games.

    We are enjoying

Helped my kid learn to tell time so fast, we stopped using it after a week! Very effective! I highly recommend.

I WORK WI8TH MY 4 YEARS OLD GRANDSON ON READING THE TIME AS HE ASKED FOR A WRIST WATCH FOR HIS BIRTHDAY PRESENT. THIS ITEM IS REALLY VERY USEFUL FOR THIS PU7RPOSE. AS I HAVE OTHER GRANDKIDS, THIS WILL BE USEFUL IN THE FUTURE AS WELL. I LIKE IT

My daughter has had a great time using this game to strengthen her math skills. Certain elements are easy enough for her to do them on her own without any assistance. Time, memory, fractions and fine motor skills are all taught in this set. It has helped her learn about clocks and make connections between digital and analog time. I think this would be great for both household use and in the classroom. The 128 piece set includes flash cards, clock board, dice, and more.I am always looking for new learning games to add into our homeschool routine and this game is great!

  10. Chrystal Morrison

The instructions have a lot of different ideas on ways to play the game so each individual child gets to learn in the manner that makes the most sense to them.

  11. JenniferJennifer

Really happy with this product! We are new to homeschooling and this was a perfect addition to our math resources!I was very impressed with how well everything was packaged and the quality of the items included.

  12. Happykitty

The game itself is beautifully designed. The instructions, however, include so many ways to play the game with just certain cards so by the time we selected the game and I sorted all the cards, my son found something else to do. It’d be great if the cards would be sorted to begin with since the beginner games suggest using the o’clock and half-past cards. A bit disappointing.

    Great product

This is a great product for kids just learning to tell time, to those needing a little more practice. It can be adapted to all learning levels. My 2 kids are using it….one is just learning how to tell time, the other one knows how. It is a great tool. Would recommend for sure!

  15. Amazon Customer

Love it. Lots of options (several game suggestions, and endless versions you can make up yourself) appropriate for different levels. I have a preschooler and 2nd grader, homeschooling this year, and we are finding plenty of activities to do that are fun and educational for both kiddos.

  16. Donna Kelley

This is a great game to reinforce telling time skills. I love that there are lots of ways to play and even my 1st grader, who doesn’t know much about telling time, can play. My kids absolutely love playing! The quality of this product is wonderful. I was very surprised by how well it’s made.

  17. Leslie H

My daughter, age 9, has struggled with learning time for quite a while now. The Telling Time Game has so many ways to play and interact without using screens/tech; it is perfect for every learning style and helps keep variety so kids don’t get bored.10/10

  18. Jessica Kankoski

    Great homeschool product for learning!

It’s so-so. The concept of a game for learning analog clocks is good. But some of the gameplay suggestions aren’t well-designed. We made up our own games. The box we got was missing the dry erase boards. We paired with an instructional clock we already got separately. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004WKT8/

ProsThis is pretty awesome. First time playing and my 6 year old is already learning so much and loving it.ConsDirections are confusing and don’t explain the dice. I wish there were more cards that had minutes that ending in numbers other than 5 & 0, would be more helpful when teaching ex like 8:22 or 4:58.

This has been a great educational tool in telling time for our grandson. There’s nothing like “hands-on” training while one is having fun.

  23. GAMS Mommy

A fun way to learn time. Good concept. Kids like it. Only issue was the dry erase markers—too much of a smell. We had to use our own dry erase markers. Made in China.

  24. anonymousY

Pretty fun way to teach kids about time. Not too complicated and not too fussy (some games have too much going on for kids to get into it).

  25. Amazon Customer

This has been an amazing addition to our homeschool classroom! We even purchased the clock!

  26. linda

What a fun game, can be played different ways! My daughter doesn’t even realize she’s learning bcuz she’s having so much fun!

  27. Rose Perry

This is a great learning tool and for fun

The Telling Time Teaching Game is a very nice learning game. I really like this is hands on learning, and the visuals are perfect for learning to tell time. Sure beats taking the clock off the wall and spinning the hands around. Also, this game adds an element of fun to learning, which is always helpful.

  29. laura pena

My daughter learned how to tell time in 5 minutes. Easy to use and fun. Very useful.

  30. SANDI

Very colorful and attractive. Suitable for its use in my granddaughter’s room. Mahalo!

  31. john Thayer

Used to teach my granddaughter (2nd grader) about time since the pandemic has schools closed. My daughter (a teacher) rated it a 3 out of 5 as a teaching tool

  32. Tyler K

What a great “Game” for home-school learning or even to supplement school teaching time Nice visuals to use to teach. Telling time make fun and easy. Sturdy, durable and well made. Great gift for young kids. Great value for the price.

  33. Judith N

More of a teaching aid than a game but there are several different great, educational activities suggested in the booklet and the included materials can be used for a variety of other learning activities.

  34. Barbara

Love this learning tool! Fun game for the whole family!

  35. Toni L.

I bought this game to help my grandchildren learn to tell time. One of the best investments I’ve ever made. The product was well made and sturdy. My grandchildren enjoyed playing the game without realizing they were learning while having fun. I will definitely order more products from this Owlconic company again.

    This game is awesome!

This is a well-thought-out game that’s a great learning tool to help kids learn both analog and digital time. The recommended age range is 5+ and I think that’s probably a good guideline. There are multiple ways to play/learn/study with this game, and some are better suited to younger kids and some to older kids. You can always modify the games by using only the simpler cards and adding the more complex ones as the child grasps the concepts. And you can use the flashcards and clock boards in other ways than just the ones suggested. There’s a lot of versatility and flexibility here. You get two dry-erase clock boards and two markers, and an eraser, plus 60 digital cards, 60 analog cards, and some dice (one hour-hand die and two minute-hand dice). The markers are nice and chunky so they’re easy for little hands to grasp. They have a little bit of odor if you smell them close up but it’s not definitely not overwhelming like with some markers. The cardboard box is thick and sturdy. This is an excellent educational game and it’s well worth the money. My kids enjoy playing with it in various ways and they are getting very good at telling the time, so I consider this game a great success.

  38. Mr. Furkins’ Human

This game is useful for teaching children how to tell time. I got this game right when a unit on time was being taught to my second grader. The two clock boards were very useful for helping her understand the concepts of quarters of an hour and half an hour. I was disappointed that the fastener that holds the hands of the clock on the board broke off of one of the clocks after the second day of using it, so it might not be the most durable construction.

  39. B. McCarthy

This is nice because the kids can learn about time while having fun. It is very fun for them. There are many ways you can play. They enjoyed many of them. It helped them learn. The quality was good. I would recommend it.

Great teaching aid for learning time telling. You get visual, auditory, and hands on learning with this. The set comes with 2 decks of cards – one with a clock face and one showing digital time, 2 manipulative analog clocks with a dry-erase surface, and 2 dry-erase markers, plus 3 dice. The instructions manual has a few suggested uses for games, but there is a lot of flexibility with these pieces. You can get creative. All of the pieces feel sturdy. The dice are unique – you roll them to get an hour, 10’s for the minutes and a 1’s for the minutes.A couple things I do wish were different – the clock hands on the cards are solid black and have hour or minute written on them. The clock hands on the manipulative clocks are red and blue. I wish the cards and clock had the same look. Also, there is no manipulative for digital time. Neither of these are deal breakers, but would have been nice to include.

  41. Jaime G

We are having a lot of fun and learning at the same time. It is so much easier to teach with fun when the kids are little. This game helps with learning digital and analog time. It is something parents can play with their kids several times a week.

Children can become very frustrated with the concept of learning to tell time. They are still developing their comprehension of a base 10 counting system, and the 12 numbers of a clock face are confusing in a number of ways. The best approach for teaching children to tell time is through rote memorization rather than a theoretical explanation of concepts. This set allows children to engage with a clock face in a way that’s easy to understand. The kit includes two clock boards that are well-labeled and have minute and second hands that can be spun into position. I liked how the minutes were labeled all the way around the clock so kids can find the time they are looking for with ease. The instruction manual provides rules for a number of different games that allow children to improve their ability to tell time. The cards and clock faces are of good quality and hold up to frequent handling and use. The clock faces are also dry erase boards, and my girls enjoyed writing down the times they were looking for and then cleaning off the surface. If you have young children who want to improve their ability to tell time, or you’re looking for a great classroom activity, this set is a good choice.

This is appealing at first, but it turns out there’s no actual game. It’s just two large clock manipulatives with white board markers, and a bunch of flashcards in different formats (analog clock face, spelled out in numbers/words). Okay, those are some nice things to have, but there’s no imaginative twist to help turn it into a game. Disappointing.

  44. J. Stroh

Wish they had this game when I was growing up. This is a really cool game for kids. They learn as they are playing and it’s awesome. The game is durable and there is a couple of small whiteboards with eraser that wipe off easily. The game itself is a lot of fun and the kids have no idea that they are learning while they are playing. Loads of fun!

Great game! Within one round my 5 year old was writing time by the hour and can show you how it looks on the clock!

  46. Jessica Kirk

I bought this for homeschool. It’s good quality material, however my kids didn’t get “into” it as much as other educational games. It’s frustrating for a child just learning analog clocks because he/she gets discouraged, but my nine-year-old was quick to fly through the games.

Extremely helpful to a hands on learner !! Grandchildren love to play and learn with this

I purchased this game to help a friend with dementia and has problems reading analog clocks. This has helped her a lot, because the visual of seeing a color coded clock adds a new dimension to memory. thanks.

My kids enjoyed playing this game and liked that there was different options on how to play. The box and contents were high quality and seem like they will hold up with kids playing it.

  51. Linda Adderley-Olds

This is the BEST product that I’ve come across for learning to tell time. My son, who has autism, has trouble telling time and this game was just what he needed to build confidence, have fun, and learn to tell time. I’m really glad I purchased it.

Loving this hands on way to “play” while teaching my sons during our homeschool day. They think this is a free time activity instead of part of our schoolwork because it’s fun!

  54. Kim H.

Great game to help Elementary school students learn to tell time. I like that it includes both analog and digital time represented. We ordered this as a classroom material for the math coach at our school.

Very easy to use for all ages
